Cypress Island Swamp Tour - We will leave Lake Martin Landing in an authentic Cajun fishing boat specially-designed
to reach the interior of the swamp. Before I ever did swamp tours I built this boat for commercial fishing
of crawfish in the Atchafalaya Basin. I use the same boat today to do tours and it is outfitted with comfortable
padded seats with a backrest and powered by a 25 hp Yamaha outboard motor, steered with a tiller handle. I am
navigating the swamp today on tour the same way I did as a fisherman, following "roads" known only to me. These "roads"
wind through thick, dense forests of trees, bushes, and floating mats of aquatic plants.
