If you are interested in nature-oriented ecotours in combination with the food, dance, and music of the Cajun and Creole culture I offer several packages in each of these areas, or a combination developed to suit your personal interests. Photography, Birding, Nature Study, Family-oriented trips, Music and Dance, Fishing and Hunting all in the heart of Cajun country can be arranged to focus upon allowing you to experience the desires of your heart. The Louisiana Experience can be designed to allow the entire family to experience different activities simultaneously, then later coming together for the evening meal.

Nature Trail Hike or Bike

One of the neatest aspects of Lake Martin is the walking trail, which is free and open to the public. It is 7 miles in circumference and can be accessed from the north or south gate. If you want a shorter version and you are in two cars, park one at each gate and you can save yourself the 4 mile walk on the road, which is dusty with motorized drivers anyway.

I do offer swamp hikes or bike trips in the day or night (full moon is best). This service allows you to experience the swamp with a knowledgeable local guide if you are paranoid of being in a boat. And truth be told; you are safer in my boat than you are on land. Snakes and gators will never challenge you in my boat. However, if you want to do a swamp tour from a hike or bike perspective I will be there with a trusty Catahoula guard dog to protect you and I will answer your questions about the many discoveries we make along the way. Bird-watching, photography, fishing, educational group tours, and camping, are all options at Lake Martin, on the nature trail.
